3D world modelling
The 3-dimensional world model is used for two purposes in the IDENTRACE system.
On the one hand, it describes the structure of the building, the positions and viewing angles of the cameras, the access control points as well as the static objects of the physical world. The model supports the object tracking by providing geometric information about the scenes both in cases if single or multiple cameras are observing a scene.
On the other hand, IDENTRACE constantly computes the location of tracked people or objects, so their approximate location and trail over the past period can be queried and effectively visualized by using the 3D model of the observed areas.
This technology is integrated in 3D World Model Server (3DWM).
